Good morning, Tri-City.
Last week, the KTNB Weather Department reported that fall had filed a formal complaint against Oklahoma.
Apparently, somebody in management finally read it.
After temperatures in the 90s, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and a cold front that reminded everyone where their jackets were stored, Oklahoma has decided to attempt something considerably more unusual.
A normal week of October weather.
According to the National Weather Service in Norman, the Tri-City area can expect mostly sunny skies, comfortable afternoons, cool mornings, and temperatures gradually climbing into the upper 70s.
No dramatic temperature swings. No widespread severe weather currently in the forecast. No immediate reason to relocate the patio furniture.
The KTNB Weather Department has requested independent verification.
MONDAY — ☀️ ~70°
Sunny, pleasant, and breezy, with southeast winds occasionally gusting above 20 mph.
Morning temperatures start in the upper 40s before climbing to around 70 degrees.
An actual fall day.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy it without immediately announcing that they’re ready for summer again.
TUESDAY — ☀️ ~72°
Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures.
Morning lows near 50 degrees, followed by a comfortable afternoon in the lower 70s.
Excellent weather for yard work, outdoor projects, or standing in the driveway discussing something that could have been handled indoors.
The KTNB Weather Department reminds residents that beautiful weather does not legally require mowing the lawn.
Although your neighbors may disagree.
WEDNESDAY — ☀️ ~76°
Sunshine continues as afternoon temperatures climb into the middle 70s.
Dry conditions and relatively light winds should make for another pleasant day across Tuttle, Newcastle, and Blanchard.
Three consecutive days of reasonable weather.
Meteorologists are reportedly reviewing the equipment for possible malfunctions.
THURSDAY — ☀️ ~78°
Sunny and warmer, with afternoon temperatures approaching 80 degrees.
Morning lows remain in the 50s.
The temperature difference between your morning commute and afternoon drive home will once again require two completely different clothing decisions.
Hoodie at 7 AM.
Air conditioning at 3 PM.
Oklahoma considers this a perfectly functional system.
FRIDAY — 🌤️ ~78°
Mostly sunny skies and continued mild temperatures.
Afternoon highs remain in the upper 70s, with nighttime temperatures settling into the upper 50s.
For the second consecutive Friday, the KTNB Weather Department is pleased to report that the atmosphere has apparently decided against committing any major offenses.
We are not prepared to call this rehabilitation.
SATURDAY — 🌤️ ~78°
Mostly sunny and pleasant.
Temperatures climb into the upper 70s with a few clouds possible throughout the day.
Excellent conditions for football, outdoor gatherings, fall festivals, and visiting a pumpkin patch while wearing clothing entirely inappropriate for the actual temperature.
The KTNB Weather Department reminds residents that purchasing a $9 pumpkin does not require dressing like you’re attending a harvest ceremony in Vermont.
SUNDAY — 🌥️ ~76°
Partly sunny skies and continued comfortable temperatures.
Afternoon highs settle into the middle 70s, with morning temperatures generally in the upper 50s.
A quiet conclusion to an unusually cooperative week.
Seven days of mostly pleasant weather.
Oklahoma’s atmosphere has apparently entered a probationary period.
Supervision will continue.

Last week, Oklahoma delivered heat, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and a substantial temperature drop.
This week, we’re getting sunshine and temperatures in the 70s.
The KTNB Weather Department would like to thank the atmosphere for finally completing one entire assignment without making itself the lead story.
We understand this is temporary.
